Suman is still young and has many options to pursue even at the level of distance education. Many institutes are currently offering not just distance but live courses online, which are also a great option to choose from. Anthropology definitely has better scope with Mphil or she can take up active part in institutes that run research projects.

The parameters given in the question provide us the answer too. With the huge market size and disproportionately less number of Certified Career Counsellors, the scope to absorb more counsellors...thus a huge career opportunity (I am not using the word Job here deliberately) is present here and now.

In addition, one does not worry about much competition since the playing field is vast. Technology also has a huge role to play for any one interested in making a difference in the lives of others by supporting and helping them make a choice for their careers. And these counsellors will be able to work at their own pace, from their own space, and not having to worry about the rat race.

Further, anyone with any educational background but with a passion to understand the expansive career options that the world is throwing up and an analytical bent of mind and empathy as a personal trait can do wonders.

India’s young student population will keep the demand for this career very high.

I recommend professionals career counselling for Victoria. As she has good work experience and wishes to upskill herself, she can definitely upgrade with courses.

Looking at the current scenario she must not give up her job yet unless she chooses a better career path. but at the same time she is independant so she can explore and upgrade her skills through learning avenues.

Highly recommend career counselling for Victoria.

The query Victoria has put is mostly put by employees who are feeling the need for brushing up their skills at a time when new lot of employee gets recruited. The change in technology keeps employees at tenterhooks.Employee upskilling is too common .One has to adress the situation  by discussing with senior managers or staff. Sometimes there are projects based on upskilling employees and training the freshers. One must keep on working on refresher courses. If one has to do something exclusive .The employee can take a half pay or no pay leave too.
